You are totally correct! Note that it's v0.0.1 we've had a long discussion on the Solid mailing list about this.

It's more than just GET/PUT/DELETE, it includes an authentication method, and an authorization-lite system -- everyone can read, owner can write.

It includes a simple linked data identity system which is a small blob of json that can easily be hosted on any server, and contain links to other things.

There might be parts that are missing that guarantee interop, so why not help me fill in those gaps. I think it's very close. All feedback is welcome.
