1 keep their current user base happy
2 adopt an open protocol like nostr, e.g. give users nostr keys
3 sunset the at protocol, which is too centralized, this will take time
4 build bridges to nostr, mastodon, threadds etc.

The success of bluesky is in their user base. They can offer that user base great features, great open protocols, and become part of the larger open web. If the double down on the at protocol, it's going to be a hard road.
