About GPG Subkeys

Subkeys: In addition to the master key, GPG allows you to create subkeys. These are additional key pairs that can be used for different purposes like encryption, signing, and authentication. The benefit of subkeys is that they can be generated, rotated, or revoked independently of the master key.

Revocation and Rotation: One of the advantages of using subkeys is the ability to rotate them regularly. If you suspect a subkey has been compromised, you can revoke just that subkey without affecting the master key or other subkeys. This provides a level of granularity and flexibility in key management.
