Drivechains aim to ossify bitcoin by providing sufficent fees to make reorgs (51% attacks) more expensive, as the block subsidy gets smaller.
If you favour ossification it's worth trying to understand the argument about how they want to try and do this. Ossification is not a simple thing.
There may be better plans for ossification, but understanding at least one will help evaluate others.
Im not yet convinced by the miners wont "steal" argument, until I see real world number plugged into the assumptions. I tried this with litecoin and the numbers did not look good to me. But I am glad they are trying things, and that the community is learning.
